Irelands Only Tier IV Regional Data Centre

One of the major attractions of the Westpark Shannon business campus is our custom designed Tier IV Regional Data Centre, which is the only one of its kind in Ireland outside the greater Dublin area.

Westpark has multiple fibre duct entry points into the Campus through extensive and resilient national fibre routes back to POP's in Dublin with International connectivity to most of the major cities in Europe and the USA through the International Tier-1 carriers.

A central part of Westpark Shannon's business strategy is to enable a future-proofed, leading-edge regional data centre and telecommunications infrastructure designed specifically to cater for the needs of the Information Economy Businesses.

Westpark has invested extensively in an ICT Program which includes a multitude of both National and Long-Haul/Tier-1 Telecoms Carriers allowing connecting their networks to the Campus. This initiative has already created a wide platform of choices for Telecommunications and ICT services as well as a secure cost-effective back-up facility across the campus.

• Full Carrier Neutrality allowing Campus Occupants to choose from a range of Telecommunications / ICT Service Providers.
• Highly-resilient In-Campus extensive Ducting Infrastructure allowing Telecommunications / ICT Service Providers to deliver their services to any Client, on any floor, of any Campus building.
• A Carrier-Class Wireless Metropolitan Area Network (WMAN), allowing highly affordable connectivity from Westpark to the wider Shannon Region.

Two Telehouse rooms (Meet me rooms - MMR) have been constructed and equipped to a tier four standard and is in full operation on level 4100 within Building 4000 for both telco operators and blue chip clients operating within the Campus. There is a power supply available of up to 2kw per cabinet which is supported by 30 minute UPS battery back up and dual generator support.
