Designed by globally renowned architects Bamber & Reddan, the vision for the Westpark business campus was to create a state-of-the-art, globally connected business campus that also offers unrivalled lifestyle facilities. An ergonomically designed business campus that creates a village feel but also offers interconnections with the surrounding community.

The architects' and designers' vision was to create an aesthetically stunning, contemporary enterprise and lifestyle space that would rival any existing facility in Europe. By marrying a variety of pioneering business and lifestyle concepts, a ‘new generation’ of enterprise space would be created that would impact positively on employees' experience and productivity.

Cutting-edge facility set in unique and relaxed urban village

The concept for Westpark Shannon is underpinned by a strong and committed people-centric ethos. The designers' vision for the Westpark Shannon campus was that of a high-tech facility that, while providing all of the essential business support facilities to help businesses improve performance and competitiveness, would also be an environment that would offer unrivalled social and lifestyle amenities to tenants.

This vision involved designing a truly inspiring urban village area around the campus incorporating facilities such as landscaped park areas, health and leisure centre, amenity plaza with shops, crèche, medical centre, restaurant and children's activity centre. The mission was to create a truly special space that would stimulate, motivate and relax to ensure a happy, motivated and productive workforce.

Linking the inside and outside spaces was also a key element in the design of the campus. Features such as walk-out terraces, floor to ceiling glazing to maximize natural light and landscaped areas for walking and sitting were carefully created to give tenants at Westpark the feeling of open space and freedom.
