New landscaping works add to Westpark’s appeal

The works to the central area between Buildings 3000, 4000 and 7000, is the first phase of a major investment programme, which will eventually see the entire area transformed into an exciting parkland setting. This will be complete with meandering walkways and nature trails that will link each of the buildings and which will be set within a verdant drumlin landscape. During the approaching winter months there will be more activity occurring – when specimen trees and shrubs that have been specially selected to suit the new setting will be planted. A tranquil pond area along with other features of focus and interest have been professionally designed to provide a unique natural setting and a visual enhancement for the entire Campus.

Extensive tree planting has already taken place to the main approach route to the Campus summit. This planting campaign has progressively softened the campus setting, and has helped to reaffirm its sense of maturity and permanence. The reaction so far to this new amenity has been very positive, with many people looking forward to the spring of next year – when the area will be opened up for all to explore and relax within.

“We see this project as a very important part of providing first-rate business facilities within an excellent Campus environment – one that compares favourably with the very best internationally,” said Brian O’Connell, Managing Director, Westpark.

“Our objective is to create the best possible working environment for international industry leaders along with indigenous Irish enterprises at Westpark, and we are singularly committed to fulfilling this objective despite the current difficult economic climate.

When coupled with the first-rate accommodation and support services on hand, we are confident that these works will prove to be highly beneficial to all tenant companies and their employees on site,” he concluded.

While many major office developments in Ireland and beyond are falling victim to severe budget cutbacks – the continual process of Campus improvements is testament to the Westpark vision, and the financial commitment that underpins that vision.
