A Custom-designed Regional Data Centre

Another key part of Westpark’s ICT Infrastructure Initiative is the commitment to deliver Ireland’s first (and only) Regional Data Centre. The lower floor of each office block at Westpark Shannon can be utilised as a Data Centre. Westpark has invested in a fit-for-purpose Shell & Core Facility: a 22,000 sq ft Shell & Core Space has been reserved for Data Centre usage; a 10,000 sq ft Plant Yard directly adjacent with a 110 KVA Power Supply.
 This facility will be available for lease and will require a Fit-Out Investment on the part of interested parties. In Westpark’s estimation, the facility when fitted-out will be capable of housing up to 400 Client Co-Location Cabinets.
Market-leading Power Density – so critical for information Economy Clients in particular, Power Densities have grown from a maximum of 2 kilowatts per Cabinet only 5 years ago, to highly-demanding levels of up to 10 kilowatts today.
